100 Who Care Alliance Harvey Relief for Assistance League
Start: Sep 1, 2017 - End: Dec 31, 2017
As we have all watched Hurricane Harvey and its devastation on the greater Houston area, we, as 100 Who Care Chapters across the country, want to help. We are all about individuals giving collectively to make a huge impact. We know there are over 525 chapters in the Alliance. If everyone gives even a small amount and shares the link with family and friends who have been searching for a way to give, imagine the collective impact we can make.
We have the opportunity to show our friends and sister chapters in Texas the power of 100 at its best! #thepowerof100 #prayersforHouston
Assistance League®, a nonprofit organization of committed volunteers, has three Assistance League Chapters that serve the people of Houston: Assistance League of the Bay Area, Assistance League of Houston, Assistance League of Montgomery County. Last year, through the combined efforts of these chapters, 14,000 children throughout the Houston area received new school clothing and thousands more children and families were helped through their other philanthropic programs. Each chapter of Assistance League carries out their own fundraising and program management. This year the need for the Houston area Assistance League philanthropic programs will be huge and these chapter members will be working harder than ever to serve the community.
Assistance League’ s Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund will support the communities in which four 100 Who Care chapters are located. The money the Alliance chapters raise to support the relief fund will be used by Assistance League volunteers to directly serve the needs of Houston families and children.
