Amazing Grace 2021
Thank you for taking a minute to meet our “Amazing Grace” . With your help, Grace is showing the world that she is the Unstoppable Type. We are so happy to have you on our team.
In 2017, Grace was diagnosed with Type One diabetes. As a family we were thrown into a whirlwind of learning about dosing insulin, counting carbs, treating high and low blood sugar, and handling the emotional stress of a 24 hour disease.
Now that we are three years into Grace’s diagnosis, we’re happy to say that she faces T1D with courage. She enjoys swimming, dancing and riding her bike. Grace dreams of one day running a marathon. Grace has learned to tolerate the pain and fear of a constant glucose monitor and insulin pump which allows her the much-needed freedom she craves. She is the leader of her two younger brothers and baby sister – most often creating her own classroom for them at home and bringing the day’s lessons to them like only a big sister can.
We have been so grateful to be involved with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF). The resources, support and community that the foundation provides for families that live with a Type 1 child is a wonderful gift. In addition to that support, JDRF is committed to finding better management and a cure for Type1 diabetes. Because of JDRF’s commitment to end Type1, we are committed as a family to fundraise for the same cause. Throughout the year, we participate in the JDRF One Walk as well as host a golf tournament with the CH Robinson and Robinson Cares programs, where all proceeds are donated to JDRF. We are honored to have you join us in our fight to turn Type 1 into Type None!
With our thanks,
