Horizons - A Family Service Alliance
Start: Sep 17, 2018 - End: Dec 31, 2019
Horizons’ mission is to instill hope, change lives, and brighten futures by providing life changing services to under served populations. Horizons’ community based programs strive to strengthen the community by supporting and serving families in need. The Survivors’ Program addresses the needs of violent crime victims and the families and friends of homicide and vehicular homicide victims. The program serves 14 counties in Southeast Iowa and has offices in Linn, Benton, and Jefferson Counties. This program addresses the immediate and long-term needs of those impacted by violent crime including felony death cases (whether or not charges are filed). Headquartered in Cedar Rapids, Horizons Meals on Wheels helps older adults and persons with disabilities in Eastern Iowa meet their daily nutritional needs by delivering hot, fresh, restaurant-quality food seven days a week.
This Fund will be used specifically to strengthen the mental and physical health of vulnerable people in our communities.
