In It for Isaac

Isaac Moel was diagnosed on April 23, 2019 at the age of 23 with Stage IV Metastatic Colon Cancer. His treatment plan includes multiple surgeries and months of aggressive chemotherapy. He has successfully completed 6 rounds of chemotherapy and has had such a good response that he can now have the life-saving surgery to remove the cancer from his liver, colon, and multiple lymph nodes in his abdomen. Surgery is scheduled for August 9th, 2019. Please consider purchasing a “KEEP DRIVING FORWARD” or “RUCK CANCER” T-shirt or an “IN IT FOR ISAAC” bracelet and WEAR IT ON AUGUST 9th in support of Isaac on this very important day.
Proceeds will return to Isaac and his family to help with any expenses related to the surgery. They would be incredibly grateful for the additional support as they take the next big step in this unexpected and incredibly difficult journey.
For those of you who do not know Isaac, he was born and raised in Iowa City, IA and attended Iowa City West High School. He had most recently been working as a soil engineer and on an organic vegetable farm while working on his degree in Environmental Science at the University of Iowa. He also plays rugby for the Iowa City Ducks division 3 men’s team, is a volunteer coach for the Iowa City Youth High School Rugby Club, and has been a youth counselor for the Neighborhood Center of Johnson County. Anyone who knows Isaac will tell you he’s one of the kindest souls you’ll ever meet. He’s also tough and committed to doing whatever it takes to beat cancer. So in rugby terms: RUCK CANCER!! Join the scrum! We’ll all BIND together and as Isaac says, “KEEP DRIVING FORWARD” until we win this thing! Thank you so much for your support!!

I was friends with his aunt April long ago and I met Isaac when he was just a little kid. I know I am not donating much, (I am very poor) but please know I will be sharing this on Facebook and praying for Isaac’s family. Take care and God bless you.
