Thank you for everyone who supported our last project to purchase CPR manikins for the schools and local community to use for training CPR. We are now in the process of raising funds to add to this heart healthy concept by purchasing AED machines for our community. We have an event coming up Concert for a Cause! On Friday, February 2nd at Cornell College, Ringer Recital Studio at 7:00PM. This will be a violin/piano recital performed by Julia Andrew West and John Schultz featuring works by Beethoven, Mozart, Bolcom and Handel. Please come out and enjoy the event. We will be accepting donations at the door to support the AED project.
Rotary Club of Mt Vernon-Lisbon
We are the Rotary Club of Mt Vernon – Lisbon and raise funds to help with community projects right in our own backyard. The money that we raise can be put towards a 1:1 matching project through the Rotary District 5970 (northern half of Iowa). The first project we did in 2016 was to raise money to purchase CPR manikins for the local school districts. In conjunction with that we have been hosting CPR/AED training for free offered to the community of Mt Vernon and Lisbon. Our next project will be to raise funds to purchase more AED machines for our community. We will once again apply for a grant through the Rotary District and hope to purchase the machines in the Fall of 2018. Thank you for your support of our community!
