Robinson Family Adoption
Start: Oct 9, 2018 - End: Dec 31, 2018
Jay and I grew up in the small rural town of Atlantic, located in southwest Iowa. Both our families continue to farm and reside in Atlantic, including a large number of adorable nieces and nephews. Farming is still a significant part of our lives and something they are thankful Hallie is exposed to on a regular basis.
We knew we wanted more children and began trying soon after getting married. 8 years later after numerous doctors visits, countless prayers, and tears, the efforts to conceive a child have been unsuccessful.
Adoption is something that we have prayed about for a number of years. We are so blessed to be part of a bible-believing, faith-declaring church. 9 months ago a dear friend prayed over us at church, declaring we would have a son. We always thought we would adopt a girl, creating a natural bond with our daughter, but we also want to honor God’s plan for our life and adoption.
Our family enjoys being active! We love playing games, inside and out, taking vacations, spending time with family, and being outside!! We love being competitive but have yet to flip a Monopoly board. 🙂 We are surrounded by the most amazing friends and community. The people we walk through life with are second to none, and we are so blessed by them all!!
We know the obstacles and battles we are up against with adopting from Uganda and we do not take those lightly. We also know that our God is a big God and blesses the hands of his workers. We know God will move mountains, and he has done so throughout our entire life, this adoption discussion and everything leading up to this point. We are so hopeful Agape Adoptions would be willing to partner with our family!
Thank you for taking the time to read our journey.
