Knock Out Parkinson's with Team Kopacz
Start: Apr 6, 2018 - End: Aug 31, 2020
At age 37 when Jason Kopacz went to the doctor for what he thought was carpal tunnel, he received a diagnosis for Young Onset Parkinson’s Disease. With four young kids at home, life for he and his wife, Kristi, changed overnight. They found themselves needing to accept the unexpected and grasp the reality of an uncertain future. Since then they have turned their reality into a mission with the creation of the Team Kopacz Foundation. They are committed to supporting the PD community by advocating for research, supporting all families affected by Parkinson’s and partnering with established organizations including Team Fox/The Michael J. Fox Foundation (MJFF) and the University of MN.
Five million people worldwide are living with Parkinson’s disease — a chronic, degenerative neurological disorder. It is the second most common neurological disorder and 60,000 new cases will be diagnosed this year in the U.S. alone. Today there is no known cure for Parkinson’s but your support can help pave the way to a brighter future and provide hope for people like Jason and thousands of others battling this disease. When you give today, you are funding efforts for finding a cure and providing support and education to newly diagnosed patients and their families.
Your support is accepted with great gratitude – Thank you!
