Thank a Healthcare Worker, Tell a Story
Start: May 12, 2020 - End: Jun 22, 2020
Hi, my name is Ashlee Elliott. My mom, Carrie Elliott, works at Mercy Care in Mount Vernon as a clinic manager. She sometimes refers to her job as a “jungle” and I can see why especially during this Covid-19 pandemic. I love my mom and everything she does, but that is not why I have made this shirt. I purposely made this shirt to say thank you to all healthcare workers, but also to get people to tell their stories. Stories are very important during this time because they keep people connected. Please, tell people your story or someone else’s. It can be a healthcare worker, a Covid-19 survivor, or even someone stuck at home while in quarantine. It also doesn’t have to be a novel, it can be short, sweet, funny, serious, or whatever you want, just as long as people are heard and seen during this difficult time.
This fund ends on June 22, the day after Father’s Day. If you are a last-minute shopper and need to get something, this shirt is the perfect gift (especially if he is a healthcare worker).
I can’t force you to buy the shirt and help raise money for a disaster fund, but I, along with my family, would love it if you did. Whenever you wear this shirt I hope you share a story. So think to yourself, can we help share the stories of our brave and outgoing loved ones? Well, that is for you to decide. Thank You!
