Tiffany's On a Mission in Africa
Dear Friends and Family,
Over the last decade or so, God has been calling me to greater things. I felt fulfilled as a wife and mother, but knew deep down in my heart there were more opportunities awaiting. God revealed those opportunities through Godly men and women, which includes some of you. As a result of prayer and wise counsel, I pursued a vocation in children and family ministry. Through my work in ministry, God placed a desire in my heart to a higher level of leadership in the form of ordination. Although I questioned that desire initially, God has affirmed His calling again and again. I believe God’s blessing in my ministry work is attributed to nothing more than sheer obedience to His plan and will for my life. As it goes for those following Jesus, a new desire to serve has been impressed on my heart. God has stirred my heart for missions outside of the local church. An opportunity to minister in Africa has come available in the church where I lead and serve. I am excited to join the missions team of Renovation Church on the November trip to Sierra Leone. This is a huge step of faith for me to leave my family and head to the continent of Africa! However, I believe that God is calling me to go on this trip and out of obedience, I will step out in faith. In partnership with Living Water International, our team of approximately 20 will work on digging wells for clean water, teach hygiene classes, minister to local children, and equip local male and female pastors for ministry. As an ordained pastor of children’s ministry, I believe God will use my ministerial equipping to equip others appointed to ministry.
As I mentioned above, this is a huge step of faith of which I could not make without the help of God and the support of my friends and family. God’s timing is not something we plan for, and that holds true for this particular trip. I am stepping out in obedience and trusting that God will provide every need for this mission trip. As you feel called, I would be so blessed if you would consider supporting me through prayer or financially in this endeavor.
The cost of the trip is approximately $2500, which includes flight, housing, and meals during my stay. In order to be financially prepared, I need to raise funding for the trip by July 1, 2019. I am also seeking prayer partners to diligently pray for the people of Sierra Leone, the safety of our team, the effectiveness of our ministry efforts and God’s presence throughout the entire trip. I know that none of this is possible in my own strength and your support allows me to be the hands and feet of Jesus. Thank you for your support! I look forward to sharing the details of the trip as I prepare to go and upon my return.
Diligently seeking and serving,
