O's Impossibly Strong Warrior Unicorn Pandas

Join the team of Impossibly Strong Warrior Unicorn Pandas to help us make a difference in honor of our sweet inspiration, Miss O*!

If you’re visiting this fundraiser, you likely know O… if you just stumbled upon this, here it is: like all other kids, the end of May meant wrapping up another year of school and looking forward to a summer of fun! It was supposed to be full of exciting activity for this high energy little lady – dance, rock climbing, swimming; travel to Hawaii to swim, surf and explore, and to Iowa to have fun with family, and of course creative fun like sewing… just to name a few.  A week after school ended, those plans quickly changed. O found her summer unraveling quickly as fever and swelling landed her in the hospital to endure more tests, scans, draws, and taps than any 11 year old should have to. Family rushed to Texas in support as the family heard the possibilities laid out – sweet O was diagnosed with cancer. Cancer! What started out as an exciting summer was now going to be spent mostly in the hospital trying to pass the time, remain optimistic that her B-cell non-Hodgkin Lymphoma would be beat as the doctor believes. O has been blessed with amazing support, countless games and activities to pass her time as her summer passes by. This creative girl did get to enjoy a few days of sewing camp, during a brief break between treatments, which fueled her creativity, even though briefly.

O and her family have appreciated amazing support of family and top notch care at Medical City’s Children’s Hospital in Dallas. The new Pediatric Oncology unit has been amazing and provided such well-rounded care for her family, while being so very welcoming of relatives and special friends who’ve been there through treatments to help pass the time and ensure the whole family is cared for.

The goal of this fund is to provide brightness for those who have to endure what she has… who are faced with the “Warrior” title no child wants to earn. The Children’s Hospital is on the wait list with an amazing non-profit, Splashes of Hope (, to have custom, locally inspired, beautiful murals for to inspire, and brighten the battle for their patients. With this fundraiser, we can make that possible!  Our initial goal will provide for a huge 4’x8′ mural – more funding would allow for an even greater impact; the pediatric oncology unit also has a wishlist for items that would help the children through their battle, which O will get to help choose from!

To make this fundraiser truly special, we have the exciting pleasure of bringing O’s art to life! Her mom shared a fun picture O drew recently that she was very proud of, the fun Unicorn Panda!! The custom shirts were designed by the amazing One Mission team to bring the Strong Warrior and Unicorn Panda together. Share these adorable shirts with all your friends and family and help us make a real impact for all the warriors to come! 40% of every one of these shirts and all purchases made from this fabulous company will go toward our fundraiser; cash donations can be made as well! Check out the awesome gift options as well and help us brighten the battle – a beautiful mural in honor of O!

*Note: O is a wise young lady who knows that what goes on the internet is there forever. She has asked that her picture/name not be shared related to her battle and her family stands strong in support of this. Personally/offline, we are all happy to share about this beautiful, strong young lady. Thank you for your support of this request as well.

Impossibly Strong Like a Warrior Unicorn Panda….THIS is what we did!!! ♥️♥️♥️???????? I so wish I could have been there, but seeing huge smiles checking out this beautiful, huge mural via FaceTime brought a few happy tears and made it all perfect. I even got to say hello to the two artists from Splashes of Hope who I met in New Orleans in June, which started this crazy fun idea! THANK YOU to everyone who helped make this happen. Get Ready for 2020!

Family and friends:

Thank you again for the incredible outpouring of support throughout this amazing drive. Together, we have made over $7,000 in impact to brighten the battle for children fighting, to provide fun and inspiration as they endure their treatments, and financial support for incredible, impactful organizations to support families as well. My efforts on this drive have gone a bit quiet, as many of you well know, because of a new, big splash that’s coming.

A special friend nominated me and I’ve accepted to be a candidate for Leukemia Lymphoma Society’s 2020 Woman of the Year! This is a huge honor – to lead a team in this philanthropic competition, all for LLS. This is their biggest fundraiser and supports research for a cure, for safer treatments, for advocacy, for access to care for all, and for financial support for families in need through their fight.

I hope you’ll all join me in the spring – in addition to a donation drive, there will be many FUN events during the 10 week campaign, all for LLS and their incredible mission. If you’d like to be kept in the loop, watch Facebook for a special page for all the events and/or let me know. If you or someone you know would love to personally join my team for support, excitement, and celebration of big accomplishment, reach out.

I could not be more honored and excited for this adventure. #beatingcancerisinourblood

Because of YOU! THANK YOU!

????THANK YOU!!! ????157 transactions to-date on our One Mission drive. $7,080 raised *so far* in honor of my sweet Lymphoma Warrior. An incredible, custom mural is underway, we’re closing in on $1,900 donated to 3 amazing organizations in her honor, and today I get to share… $100 for each year of her young life spent on over 500… FIVE HUNDRED items to bring joy, creativity, or a brief respite for the many children faced with the awful battle not one of them deserves. If “pediatric oncology” has to be a thing, I will fight to the end to help fund cures, advocacy, financial support, and SMILES. Check out the incredible variety that’ll be flowing into the pediatric oncology unit where our own warrior continues her fight. I. Am. So. Grateful. There’s still time to support this mission as a whole. I can’t tell you the number of times happy tears have come at the sight of HER design on shirts – thank you, friends and family. Thank you for helping make this a reality – to brighten the battle and bring some beautiful gifts to life in honor of her fight! ♥️????#pediatriconcology #childhoodcancerawareness #leukemialymphomasociety @leukemialymphomasociety #lightthenight #warriorunicornpanda

September Warrior Unicorn Panda Update!

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness month! As our sweet Lymphoma Warrior continues her battle, I continue to strive for a brighter path for those who fight with and after her.

So far, our amazing impact of $5,200+ has fully funded a huge, beautiful, custom mural for her unit of the Children’s Hospital that will include her amazing drawing – the Warrior Unicorn Panda! We’ve also funded $100 for each year of her young life for games, books, LEGOs and other favorites for the many kiddos who will spend too much time in a hospital to fight their own battle. What’s next??

Join me in broadening the scope of the warriors we support. Continued funds raised will go toward organizations that fund advocacy, research, and financial support for those whose means cannot otherwise afford the support they need to face the fight. The three organizations we’ve chosen for this phase of our drive are two recommended as great support from our Warriors hospital, and an ever-obvious – the Leukemia Lymphoma Society. Take a peek!

Mitch, a 9-year old battling cancer, withdrew money from his own savings account, placed it into envelopes and delivered it to kids on his pediatric oncology floor at the hospital. He asked his Dad to pinky swear to do it after he was gone.

Pinky Swear Foundation is committed to easing the financial impact of cancer, including rent, mortgages, car payments, car repairs, groceries, gas, childcare and more.

Turn Powerlessness into Beautiful Hope!

When you can’t take away the pain or struggle, at least you can be the light. ???? Thank you to all who’ve supported this fundraiser to provide lightness and inspiration, fun and distraction, for young warriors who face battles no child deserves. I so appreciate you. So does our Warrior. Her days sure aren’t what she had envisioned just a few months ago and there’s nothing I can do to change that, no matter how hard I wish it. So the least I can do is turn that battle into a beautiful, lasting legacy for her to share.

We have raised the funds for the mural, and I am so so excited! ????????????Through her journey, she’s met fellow warriors who do not have the same access to the entertainment and distractions to pass the time in treatment and recovery in the hospital, so the additional funds we can rally together will allow her to gift to future warriors, favorites and things she knows they’ll love from the Pediatric Oncology wishlist. Given the risk of sharing germs with ravaged immune systems, sharing isn’t possible. Let’s brighten the battle for all those children that we can! ♥️???? {{PLEASE SHARE!}}
