A momma of two beautiful Haitian children! I, Jessica, first came to Haiti in 2010 shortly after the devastating earthquake. I fell in love with the Haitian people and the country. I continued to come on short term mission trips and in 2012 I moved to Haiti and volunteered at an orphanage.

It was there that I fell in love with my oldest son. Lovinsky was at the orphanage and over my time there we had a special bond. In the fall of 2014 I was granted guardianship of him and we were able to move out of the orphanage and start our own little family! What a joy it was it finally be a little family.

In the fall of 2015 Lovinsky kept asking for a little brother or sister. I told him I wasn’t going to be having a baby anytime soon and he better keep praying for a little brother or sister! Well I guess its proof that God has a sense of humor! He gave us exactly what Lovinsky had praying for; a sweet and precious little sister!

Lydia joined our family in the fall of 2015 and I was granted guardianship of her in January 2016.

It seemed that our little family was just perfect. We couldn’t imagine our lives without her!

So here we are a little family of 3 working towards the adoption process and living in Haiti. I never would have imagined myself living in Haiti and going through this adoption process by myself but it has honestly been the most amazing (and sometimes frustrating) journey. The fact that I get to be with my little kiddos everyday is absolutely worth it!
